An ordinary closet in our spare bedroom..
Transforms into a classroom by day..
Storage and organization are a top priority for the teacher (um ME!)
I hit the Dollar Tree for great teacher supplies for the bulletin boards and educational posters...
Our first week of school was all about
Color: Yellow
Shape: Circle
Letter Sounds: A, B, C, D
Hannah with her circle art...
We made a yellow sunshine..
Did I mention Tilly is in class too?
This is a neat idea I found on the web, no mess finger painting!
Take a Ziploc bag and pour in 2 different colored water based paints.
Add a little vegetable oil and seal the bag. I closed it and then taped it shut. Tape it to a table or a sturdy piece of cardboard and "paint" with your fingers. The oil prevents the paints from mixing.
Where's mine?
This is a picture of all the art from the week.
We finished a few more letters..Q, R, and S..
She even got a reward from the library for her 100 books she read over the summer.
Each week we work out of a great pre-k workbook I found at Sam's and she does lessons from the pre-k level Hooked on Phonics program.
