Hannah continues to grow at a weed's pace..already 43 lbs and 41 inches tall. People mistake her for a 4 year-old daily. Since this time last year she has grown 5 inches. She enjoys her weekly outings to story hour and a new park each week. It has been our mission to find a new park to play at each week.
Mike and I are doing good and continue to adjust to the "Cajun" way of life. Mike's job keeps him busy and with the pending Mississippi River floods, he is on high alert watching and waiting to see how many of the units in his area are flooded. He is helping the field operator's make safety preparations as the water rises.
I have been very busy with my writing jobs and have seen rapid advancement at a new company I write for. After two weeks, I advanced three status levels and was invited to participate in an ongoing project for a new writing platform within the site.
Around the house we have added some new members: Checkers the rabbit and our hens. I have been wanting some laying chickens for a long time and we have finally built a coop and added some hens. They are already laying so it was instant gratification! Our garden looks promising this year with yellow squash, zucchini, green beans and tomatoes producing. We also planted cucumbers, blackberries, strawberries, eggplants, okra, onions, and sweet peas.
